Iranian officials had already informed Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries about the unprecedented attack on Israel. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) informed the US about this. The Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported this information about the influential US newspaper The Wall Street Journal. However, Saudi Arabia strongly denied such a claim. Saudi Arabia's state-owned newspaper Al-Arabiya reported this information.

According to the report of the Wall Street Journal, Iran informed Saudi Arabia and the Gulf countries about the attack on Israel two days ago. So that these countries can protect their airspace during the attack. However, Saudi Arabia and UAE reported that information to the US.

Meanwhile, an Israeli media outlet, KNN News, claimed that Saudi Arabia had cooperated with Israel to prevent Iran's missile attack. The Israeli media reported the cooperation by citing the official website of Saudi Arabia. However, Saudi Arabia rejected these claims.

According to the report of Arab News, on Monday (April 15), the news was published in the Israeli press citing an official website of Saudi Arabia. It is said that Saudi Arabia has joined the defence alliance to protect Israel from Iranian attacks.

The website also said that Saudi Arabia used its air defence system to destroy the drones and missiles launched by Iran. In addition, the country also cooperated with the military coalition consisting of Israel, the United States, Jordan, the United Kingdom and France to prevent attacks.

Against such a claim, several sources in Saudi said that in the statement published on the website about Saudi cooperation in preventing Iran's attack on Israel, there is no such official website in Saudi Arabia.

On April 1, Israel attacked the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, the capital of Syria. In that attack, several military officers including Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, the senior commander of Quds Force, the elite wing of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, were killed.

Iran launched hundreds of drone and missile attacks on Israel in retaliation for the attack on Damascus. However, Tel Aviv claimed to destroy 99 per cent of the drones and missiles launched by Iran before they reached Israeli territory. On the other hand, Tehran claims that they have been able to attack Israeli military targets.

Meanwhile, Tehran has said that it does not want to escalate the situation after the attack on Israel. However, Iran has warned that if there is a new attack on any person or organization inside Iran or abroad, it will be immediately retaliated with a strong response.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani said in an interview on state television late Tuesday (April 16) that Tehran's counterattack against any retaliatory action by Israel would be a matter of seconds. Iran will not wait 12 days to respond this time; Not even an hour late.
