Israel claims to have detained 358 fighters, which Hamas said

Israeli forces raided al-Shifa Hospital and demanded the arrest of several Hamas commanders. However, this claim has been termed as an outright lie by Hamas. A spokesman for the Palestinian resistance group directly denied such claims by Israel.

The unnamed Hamas leader said on Friday that no such incident had taken place. Earlier, Israel demanded the detention of 358 Hamas fighters from Shifa Hospital. Some of their pictures are also published.

The Hamas source told Al Jazeera that the incident of detention is not true at all. Israel chose this strategy of war to psychologically defeat the residents of Gaza. The Hamas leader said, "Many of those shown in that film are still in Gaza," and they are trying to identify many of the hospital's doctors as Hamas fighters.

Israeli forces have already killed around 150 Palestinians by raiding Al Shifa hospital. Six hundred and fifty people were arrested. Among them are health workers and journalists.

The Israeli forces have been blocking Al-Shifa Hospital for the past few days. Attacks were carried out with snipers and helicopters. In November 2023, the Israeli forces carried out a similar operation in the hospital.
